Cheren probably said this kind of thing off-screen in the past. One event that could be related is when he was forced to dress as a maid during Episode 7.
Either way, I say Cheren SHOULD die. I hate it that Cheren is the real rival of the game, with his asshole personality. I would’ve loved it to have been Bianca as the rival, she’s cute and has the perfect set-up for a ton of character development.
Also I hate his Gigalith’s Stealth Rock.
But the game’s main rival is, by default, an asshole that turns better as the game goes.
Blue, Silver and even Barry all were, even if in different ways (the third Gen hardly has a proper rival).
And at least Cheren keeps trying to find out why is it he can’t beat you even if he gets stronger, Bianca just whinnies and says she’ll never be strong – just because she can’t beat one person – and leaves it at that.

I think N should have been the rival and besides its always the jerk, Angsty, dark, hot….^p^ oh um sorry! As I was saying its always guys like Blue and Kamon…well I guesse Jun could be an exception I mean he dose have those moments but besides that I thought N fit into this category perfectly Bel fits into the catagory of the girl along with White. But you know Cheren also fits the category of the rival as well….They should have made both Cheren and N the rivals and put Bel as she is except without the Poke Dex I think the story line of the game would have been much more entertaining that way but I wonder how N would get a poke Dex if he hates em so much…hmm oh my this is a really loooooong comment sorry about that ^_^”
