God he’s the best. I’m so glad this came to be.
It still makes no sense why Looker, of all NPCs, would be the one to give you the rod. Then again, I guess they didn’t want you to not have it after not having a rod all game.
Because you need it to catch the Pokemon on the National Dex which weren’t supposed to be available until the Post Game but they’re in the areas that were accessible before the post game.
