No Easter Eggs to be sighted here, but according to the faces of Tornadus and Thundurus, they are ecstatic to be going to the League!
“weren’t so afraid” in the third panel I believe is incorrect.
How so? It looks fine to me.
Shouldn’t it be “If I wasn’t so afraid…” ? Was is a singular verb, and were is plural. Unless using weren’t is accepted for a singular subject.
That is incorrect. Neither of them are plural or singular on their own. They are used in accordance with the subject’s noun, as verbs modify/match the noun, which in this case I believe is “the other scientists”. Because the subject noun is plural, we use “were”.
And there’s also “wasn’t so afraid” sounding closer to present-tense than “weren’t so afraid” to take into consideration, too.
I’m not sure if anyone’s already mentioned this, but aside from being utter pervs, thundurus and Tornadus seem like Poke-Frat boys.
