Fifth grade? Wow, for some reason I was thinking they’d known each other much longer. Granted, that’s still pretty young and six years is still a long time to know someone. And it would explain why the Westermark effect didn’t activate.
Anyway, this backstory is adorable. For some reason the idea of them all sneaking around playing together behind Bel’s dad’s back just gives me warm fuzzies.
